The Readability add-on for Firefox strips out unnecessary page elements down to the main content of a web page and presents it in a simple, clean, and very easy to read format allowing you to focus on the articles and stories (etc) that you're interested in reading without being distracted by all of the page noise and clutter that is found on most web pages. It's also a great tool for cleaning up pages prior to printing.

There are three ways to trigger Readability to clean up the web page you're viewing.

1) Click on the R status bar button.

2) Click on the (optional) R toolbar button.

3) Keyboard shortcuts.
Activate
Ctrl+Alt+R
Restore page to default view
Ctrl+R

Mac:
Activate
Cmd+Option+R
Restore page to default view
Cmd+R

There are also 3 buttons at the top left of the Readability enabled page to restore the page to default view, print the page, or email it.

Firefox's built-in autoscroll feature is a great companion to Readability.

Customization Options

Readability provides an Options Toolbar accessible by right clicking on the status bar button, or by clicking on the arrow on the toolbar button that allows you to customize the appearance of pages cleaned up by Readability. There are 5 different Styles, 5 (font) Size settings, 5 Margin settings, you can use any combination from the 3 groups, and your selections are applied immediately.

Click on any one of them to view larger sizes and to cycle through them.
